Below you will find a series of sessions highlighting residential life, dining, academic support, student panels and more! We have curated a schedule of some of the most requested topics from parents and families, so feel free to explore as many sessions as you'd like.
The Virtual Family Programming experience is meant to give you a glimpse of what MIT is all about! If you miss anything, don't worry, all of this information and more will be shared online and with admitted students during Orientation.
As a reminder, all events will take place on Eastern Time (ET). Just search below for the events you'd like to attend (no pre-registration required), and we hope to see you (virtually) soon!

Food is fuel on the MIT campus, powering students to get through busy academic days and score high on their semester grades. Join MIT Campus Dining for a full review of our campus dining program including breakdown of meal plan structure, how to decipher which plan is best for the individual student and how does my student navigate the campus food scene? This session is vital for students living in both dining hall and cook-for-yourself dorms as it pertains to all food resources on campus.

First-Year Residential Experience at MIT

Our residential communities are an integral part of what makes the MIT undergraduate experience so distinctive. Students choose where to live, and each residential community has its own unique identity. MIT housing is guaranteed for eight consecutive semesters, and all first-year students live in on-campus residence halls.
